We have recently ordered a Level 3 survey report on a property we are purchasing and couldn’t be happier with the level of service we received. The detailed report is 86 pages long and we found it very reassuring to know every detail about the property before committing to buying it. The communication from the team has been impeccable and they take the time to discuss points with you over the phone or email. My partner and I have had two structural surveys carried out in North Wales by Charter House who helped us tremendously in our decision making by producing excellent comprehensive reports presented in laymans terms with associated recommendations. They identified  a number of issues we were ignorant of and ranked them in order of importance which was extremely helpful. We used CharterHouse Surveyors - Jake - last October but due to one thing and another we missed posting a review regarding his services, and because it was the reviews which helped us make the decision to go with CharterHouse Surveyors we felt we had to leave one as it was the best decision we had made.  From the initial enquiry to the actual survey the communication from Jake was exceptional, nothing too much trouble, no question too silly, and we asked many - which Jake encouraged. His professional guidance was also truly welcomed.  At no point did we feel anything other than he was acting on our behalf and in our best interest AND he was pro active and genuinely pleasant to chat with. Our fears of have we got the right people to do this were instantly fully allayed. The report was brilliant uncovering things we would not have thought of.  It was so so detailed and thorough you really REALLY do get a report which for the layman and the professional  is not only helpful but is so informative and broken down into language we all can understand, we basically have an extensive document which we are now using to get the right tradespeople in as it’s almost itemised with pictures to support. Jake was always on hand to answer any queries we had on the report, answering quickly and clearly.  We would not hesitate to recommend Jake or the company, they are clearly customer focused with the highest level of professionalism and expertise.  We have also been in contact with him in the last few days, again, quick responses and nothing too much trouble.  The content and quality of Jakes report allowed us to make an informed decision on our purchase and supported us being able to negotiate the price as we could fully back up our concerns with the contents of the report.

Brilliant service from Jake, he provided me with a level 3 structural survey for my soon to be house which is nearly 100 years old, he went through it with a fine tooth comb and came back to me with a 90 page document full of vital information to be aware of. Very reasonable price too considering the level of service involved. He also had a good chat on the follow up call with his own personal opinion prioritising individual issues. Excellent service from CharterHouse Surveyors for my Level 3 structural survey. Jake did an excellent job and gave great communication from start to finish. Jake spotted issues with the property that I had not spotted when viewing and was able to explain the impact that these issues could have in the future. The report was over 80 pages long with thorough detail and images to show the issues in detail. I was also able to have an aftercare conversation with Jake where he was able to provide further explanation of some of the issues. My partner and I have recently purchased our first home together. Jake carried out two level three surveys for us on two properties.

Jake was extremely professional throughout and both reports were very detailed. We made the difficult decision to pull out of the first purchase due to the amount of work needing to be carried out. Jake was also able to provide us with an estimate for the works which helped us make our decision.

As we felt we were in very capable hands, we were happy to ask Jake to carry out a second survey on another house. This report was as detailed as the first. We were also particularly happy with the brilliant attention to detail found in both reports.

We did have an additional drain survey carried out as recommended by Jake. We are glad we did as it identified a potential issue which was quickly resolved by our sellers.

We thankfully did purchase the second property and since moving in a month ago, we have been very happy! If we ever move house again, I will not go to anyone else for a survey.
