His career has taken him across Ireland, the United Kingdom, mainland Europe and Asia, providing a broad and well-rounded perspective on the built environment.<\/p>\n<p>He has contributed to numerous professional committees, including RICS, CIOB and CABE, both in the UK and internationally, and has studied at several universities as well as lectured on a range of construction-related subjects. In 2023, Gerard was awarded a PhD in Building Pathology and the Conservation of Listed Buildings by thesis, and he currently holds five Fellowships and four Charterships.<\/p>\n<p>As a Director of CharterHouse he plays a key role in delivering comprehensive surveying, engineering and architectural services across a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
